Architecture

Architectural Institute of B.C. (AIBC) – Independent, professional self-regulatory body established in 1920 by provincial statute – the Architects Act. It is the AIBC’s mandate to regulate the profession of architecture within the province in the public interest.

Construction

BC Construction RoundtableMission is to provide an independent forum for decision-makers of all sectors of the BC construction industry to share information, examine issues and collaborate on new or more effective strategies for the healthy growth of the industry. It is independent of all other construction groups.

Greater Vancouver Home Builders Association (GVHBA) – Represents the residential construction industry in the Greater Vancouver Area.

Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA) – Represents more than 700 general contractors, specialty trade contractors, manufacturers, suppliers and professionals active in the multi-billion dollar non-residential construction industry in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.

Engineering

Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (APEGBC) – Licensing and regulatory body responsible for BC’s more than 26,000 engineers and geoscientists. Prpfessional development and networking events.

Structural Engineers Association of British Columbia (SEABC) – Association that promotes the interests of structural engineers in British Columbia.

Vancouver Geotechnical Society (VGS) – Local section of the Canadian Geotechnical Society (CGS).  The CGS is an independent, federally incorporated, non-profit learned society which exists to serve and promote the geotechnical and geoscience community in Canada.
